6 Ways to Sell Your Domains
Posted by Amy on November 14, 2008
There are many many ways to sell a domain. All the methods require patience, persistence, and confidence simply because you are selling a product. Sometimes a domain will sell it’s self and sometimes you will have to put effort into the domain sales process. I will define a few methods to sell domains below and remember not every suggestion will work for every domain name.
1) Find an end user for your domain. An end user is an individual who will use the domain for themselves. Domain end users will attempt to develop the domain instead of trying to flip the domain.
2) Ebay is always an option. There are good domains bought and sold on Ebay on a daily basis. They offer low list fees and you might get lucky! This method will not be for everyone or every domain, but is a good tool to use. Be sure to read and under stand how to sell on Ebay prior to listing a domain.
3) Find a domain reseller. There are people, like myself who buy and sell domains on a daily basis and have existing contacts to reach out to to purchase your domain. In most cases you will get a higher price and a quicker sale for your domains if you work with a professional domain reseller.
4) Another great tool in your domain sales toolbag should be Craigslist. I must admit it is pretty hard to sell a domain name on Craigslist. However, it is free to list and people will view your ad. The problem you will more than likely not have a very high success rate on Craigslist in moving your domain names. But you never know, luck could be in your cards!
5) List your domain in a magazine or newspaper which is either in the same industry or relating industry. This obviously will not work for every domain, but can make you good money for some domains.
6) Another sometimes unobvious choice is to use all options mentioned above. The more eyes on your domains the better odds you have to sell them. I assure you, if you do nothing to sale your domain, your odds are slim to none unless you just have a super popular domain.

Nice post & clean site. I would also suggest using domain aftermarkets and possibly setting up your own blog(s). This is how I move most of my inventory.

Steve, great advice! What is your fav domain after market? Tdnam.com? Also personal domain blog is a biggie I left out. Any domainer with a domain portfolio over 200 should have their own domain blog.
